Hotel Flamingo is Clownic’s particular homage to his theatrical parents, Tricicle. Clownic was created by the famous Catalan trio and for many years performed their shows where they could not reach. We started doing our own shows 10 years ago and now that Tricicle has announced their retirement it’s time to pay tribute to them and thank them for all we’ve inherited from them. Hotel Flamingo is a high-energy physical comedy that guarantees a laugh every ten seconds. A director inherits an abandoned hotel. A vintage building that must be brought back to life at any cost, with the help of two bellboys as enthusiastic as they are disastrous.
The reception desk becomes a place where anything can happen: imaginary guests, unexpected puppets, irreverent cockroaches, a fumigator emerging from the audience, horse races, superheroes and much more.
